everything... Very quiet room, comfy bed, great location & view, laundry available, kitchen with everything and beyond you probably could need (liked the coffee maker a lot). Just 2km to Hawker, so remote & quiet with a great view but still close to everything. Host has provided lots of information on the area, so you have enough things to choose from - the information from visitor information was by far not as good as all the brochures, lists etc. there. Although we didn´t use it, you get 10% of pre-booked dinner at the Hawker pub

An excellent choice of breakfast cereals and having the homemade bread was a bonus. Our daughter is a vegan and was very happy with the availability of non dairy products. The beds were very comfortable.

Best B&B I have ever had! It started with a very friendly welcoming from the host in his pre-arrival communication and when we arrived we were amazed by the sense of service and warm attentions. For the rest, we had all the comfort and facilities we needed, information and entertainment about the Flinders Ranges park. The breakfast was gorgeous. Definitely recommended for your next stay in the park!

I had a wonderful stay. Motel has a very historic vibe and the best part is that they are open for breakfast lunch and dinner. The cartoon pub is great to hangout throughout the day. Rooms are absolutely comfortable and the staff is very welcoming.

Enjoyed the country layout and got a sense of what it feels like to be living in the country in a really quintessential Australian station house. The property exceeded our expectations and we used the facilities to the fullest. The deco of each room being unique, comfortable and all the facets of the property gave us an experience we want to repeat.

Homely cottage lived up to its name. We were so comfortable and the linen and equipment was such good quality. In particular the lounge chairs as so often we have found the lounge chairs hard to sit on but these chairs were so good for old bones. Vicki was so lovely and is so generous and kind.

The room was quite adequate for an overnight stay.

The room was quite adequate for an overnight stay. An interesting park opposite with historical railway items from the old Ghan train with information panels. A little further away in the park some excellent panels of Adnyamathanha art depicting Dreaming stories, with bilingual translations of key words.

Having travelled quite a bit in outback Australia, Hawker...

Having travelled quite a bit in outback Australia, Hawker proved to be pretty much as expected with all the necessities. Flinders Food Company was popular for good reason. It is certainly easy to get around the town. I travelled with my sister and cannot really comment on activities for children. Hawker was a good base from which to explore the Flinders. We enjoyed a day tour with Paul, a great guide from Wallaby Tracks Tours. Children would probably enjoy seeing the animals throughout the Flinders.

The townspeople were recovering from a major power outage...

The townspeople were recovering from a major power outage that had affected businesses badly but were friendly, caring and offering the best they could to travellers. The town itself is a gateway to the Flinders Ranges, but it offers its own tourism - Jeff Morgan Gallery, the local seismograph and interesting fossil artefacts, a beautiful RSL area, a local pool and good eateries, which may or may not be consistent in quality, as the pub had just had the cook walk out ( we avoided) and the Old Ghan restaurant's chef was unwell - the meal was passable, but not brilliant. The local cafe and new eatery were excellent. Fuel is expensive due to transport costs. Lovely church folk.

Hawker is a perfect base to use for exploring the environs of the Flinders Rangers. Hawker itself offers points of interest, is well serviced with basics such as fuel, workshop, groceries, cafes and eateries with the bonus of medical facilities in town.
