The location was perfect, allowing me to walk straight to my favorite restaurants. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating—when they learned we were celebrating our anniversary, they surprised us with a chocolate that ended up becoming my favorite. They also upgraded our room, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The hotel itself was beautiful, and the gym was well-equipped enough to support a variety of workouts.

The hotel was conveniently located near the city center, with everything within walking distance. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Since we arrived early, they happily stored our bags at the reception, which was a thoughtful touch. The breakfast was decent—standard fare, nothing extraordinary. The room was spacious enough and impeccably clean every time we returned from our outings. I’m deducting just one point from the facilities because I needed a bidet, which wasn’t available. However, I understand this is common in most hotels around Melbourne. Overall, it was a wonderful stay. I would happily return and recommend this hotel to friends.

Buzzy Jewel of Aussie Rules

A thoroughly liveable city, Melbourne has a buzzy vibe and an Aussie sense of fun. There’s always something going on, and one of its many festivals is Moomba – Australia’s largest free arts festival. Well worth a visit are the National Gallery of Victoria and the Melbourne Aquarium, whose highlight is walking through a clear tunnel as sharks swim over your head.

The city’s most recognisable landmark is Flinders Street Station, whose yellow and green façade matches the colour of the historic Melbourne trams that still run around the world’s longest tram network. Keep an eye out for the street art as you travel.

Shopping in Melbourne is fantastic. Queen Victoria Market is the largest open-air market south of the Equator, while the La Trobe Street shopping centre has over 300 stores. For food, don’t miss Little Italy - the Carlton area.

South of the Yarra River is St Kilda, home to the best beach and Albert Park, where the F1 Australian Grand Prix is held. However, this is not the city’s only sporting heritage. It’s also the home of Aussie Rules football and the MCG, a must-see for cricket fans.

My venue was in Richmond so staying at Amora was a great...

My venue was in Richmond so staying at Amora was a great choice. Ubering into the city can be costly deoending on what time you call one. Uber stops right outside the hotel and there are great options for walking, biking or running if you have the time iotherwise you can catch a tram to the city and back, stadiums are also close by too. Eateries & Mcdonalds very close by. A short uber, tram ride, scooter & bikes all close by

I love the skyscrapers in Melbourne. This look like an industrial city. The city is growing very rapidly. The city will need tremendous work to meet the growing demands for water, energy and other basic necessities.

The hotel is situated close in the heart of the cbd, within easy walking distance from Southern Cross Station and surrounding points of interest. Whether it being shopping, concerts, and or football matches. The rooms are not overly huge, but they are clean and the bed was super comfy. The downside was not being able to check in til 3 pm.

Melbourne has plenty of sites and places to visit. I would recommend travel Wednesdays to Sundays as a lot of the cocktail bars were closed Mondays and Tuesdays, that is if you are after a nice place to finish off your day.

It's location is perfect for any CBD activities. Only a short walk to/from Southern Cross station, the city centre and Southbank. The reception staff were magnificent and helpful...and our room was very clean, contemporary, well appointed and comfortable. This is a wonderful quiet hotel located right on the edge of the city in East Melbourne. It’s an easy walk over the road into the CBD and there are several lovely parks nearby to relax in. Some of the rooms offer sensational views of the city. We loved our stay and will definitely return.
