The purpose of the trip was to visit the new museum & to catch up with old workmates in the process. We had two sesions in the museum & met up with several friends in the process. The museum and the memorial to the lost mining personel is a great credit to all the people of Moura who were involved in the gathering of information and setup of the whole site.Guest review byBarryAustralia - 8.0

Short stay on the way through to Hervey Bay, but it was lovely to see the silo art and also the miners’ memorial (sobering to say the least); it was a fitting tribute to these men. Sadly, because it was that in between Christmas and New Year period, one of the best cafes, The Atmosphere Cafe, was closed. The local Indian restaurant/ cafe was exceptional. The Mitre 10 was the best looking store in town, as we normally find in regional towns! The dinner delicious and value for money, the included breakfast was awesome, the accommodation was all we needed, we had no complaints. Then the little town of Moura had a lot of appeal, silo art, coal miners memorial, great coffee and everything we needed, I wish we had done our groceries there as Rolleston was our last opportunity to get supplies and was lacking and expensive.Guest review byCherylAustralia
