We visited over the Easter weekend when most shops and cafes were closed (the two supermarkets were open). We stayed at The Telegraph Hotel which was excellent and we also had two dinners there which were good, and good takeaway pizza from Laino's another evening. The community at St George's Anglican Church was welcoming. We enjoyed a walk around the Kinnairds Wetlands. Numurkah was a convenient base from which to visit Cactus Country in Strathmerton, Thompson's Beach on the Murray River, Cobram, Yarrawonga, Lake Mulwala, Rutherglen and Tungamah.
