Beautiful place to visit, or stay if you’re lucky enough! Ideal for the rainforest and Great Barrier Reef. The harbour is a fantastic place to watch the sunset while the main street has some friendly bars and eateries which are enjoyed by locals and tourists alike. Port Douglas is an interesting North Queensland town with beautiful scenery and plenty of things to do. It has pubs, bars and cafe restaurants as well as a Coles Supermarket. Just wander into town and choose what you want to eat. Very much worth the visit.Guest review byAnonymousAustralia - 8.0
Port Douglas was lovely.
Port Douglas was lovely. Beaches are not the best, not user friendly, crocs and stingers, seen more beautiful and swimable beaches in other parts of Australia. Would definitely go back, was a lay back peaceful town and the Sunday market was great. Bars were fun and plenty of them. Surprised the oysters were from South Australia or Tasmania, thought they would be local, perhaps the crocs would eat them, haha!Guest review byHeatherAustralia - 10
Fantastic place to visit.

I can understand why this is a busy holiday destination! Beautiful town with great restaurants and a superb 4 mile long beach (subsequently named ;-)). The town has such a relaxed feel about it and one could easily laze away the day at a cafe or beach, or take a ship and go out to explore the reef! Spa bath and good size shampoo, conditioner and soap available. Fresh linens and towels after seven nights. Convenience of being in the heart of town is the reason I chose this hotel and it’s in walking distance of the marina and restaurants. Reasonably quiet. The unit itself was very well presented and had plenty of room especially with a good size balcony and daybed.
