Plenty of restaurants to choose from, a handy Coles and Woolies just down the road (and Maccas for a naughty treat). Easy walk into Hobart and Battery Point and lovely walks along Sandy Bay Road. Views up to Mt. Nelson at night from our apartment.

Great area, close to city, convenient for most attractions and easy to get to the country areas around the city. We came mainly for a concert offered at Wrest Point Casino and a River Cruise. Necessary parking was very easy to find, and travel times were always short.

Sandy Bay is a very pleasant clean suburb with a beautiful beach and boardwalk. Amazing views of the Derwent River and Hobart Town when you drive/walk up the road to the residential area at the top of the hills. We stayed about half up, the view was beautiful.

The period building was gorgeous.

The period building was gorgeous. The view over to see a little of the harbour. Close walking distance to pub & supermarket. We stayed in Room 8 with a kitchen that to suit the quality of the spacious room 2 bedrooms needs a better quality kitchen.

Historic area, quiet although on a main Rd.

Historic area, quiet although on a main Rd. Excellent walking, paths & beaches Food & beverage close by- the restaurants & pubs seemed like expensive but we do not eat out a lot. The Wursthouse was a great place to pick up lovely home cooked food and cook at accommodation. People were friendly & helpful. Tour of Maria Island by amazing- Michael was great, Steve & Allie on the cruiser were informative.

My friend and I booked 2 rooms at this property at the end of November 2023. He was in the large room with a private balcony overlooking the Derwent and I was in a room out the back with my own bathroom, but without a view. The view from his room was great and he also had a spa bath. My room was clean and comfortable. Rooms had drinking water in them when we arrived and there was limited tea/coffee. The view from the communal lounge room was great. The Location was okay as it gave you access to Sandy Bay attractions and outlets.

The ambience of the house is wonderful. I loved the self serve breakfast. I felt at home and Sandy Bay is my favourite area. Spent a lot of time walking through Battery Point. My host Linda was welcoming and lovely. Clydesdale is a grand old lady I was sad to leave.

The location, being in Sandy Bay, is super convenient - not just to the city but also to local shops. The living area was spacious, with views across the harbour.
