Location was excellent. Staff were happy, attentive and always wanting to make your stay enjoyable. The entrance lounge is beautifully decorated, comfortable and styled well, with 24 hrs hot coffee/hot chocolate/cold drink self serve with something to eat with it.

The hotel is in a nice location and there is a pretty garden. There is plenty parking space so no need to look around and it is free. The staff were absolutely fantastic and very helpful. The buffet for breakfast was amazing. It is also quiet and tranquil without the noise of the city.

Romantic Brazil

Located in the ‘Romantic Route’ region of southern Brazil, the picturesque town of Gramado is a mosaic of German, Italian, and Brazilian traditions. It is located in the Gaúcha Hills area, at an average of 850 metres above sea level, and is considered one of the most charming places in the Brazilian hinterland.

Portuguese immigrants arrived in the area in 1875, and they were soon joined by Germans and Italians. This influence can be noticed in the architecture, as well as in the local cuisine and traditions of Gramado. Even hotels and ‘pousada’ guest houses in this area seem to belong to Alpine or German landscapes.

The popular Black Lake or ‘Lago Negro’ was artificially created in the 50’s after a forest fire, and its area was planted with species from Germany’s Black Forest. B&B’s and hotels near Gramado’s Lago Negro offer beautiful natural surroundings. The Film Festival is the biggest event of the year.

The town is served by Porto Alegre’s Salgado Filho International Airport and the regional Caxias do Sul Airport, while the bus station offers connections nationwide. Booking.com com offers the best hotels and lower prices in Gramado and nearby Canela.

    Gramado is just perfect!

    Gramado is just perfect! If you’re looking for a place to relax and have a European feeling but in Brazil just go to Gramado and stay at Pousada Encanto Vó Eni, they’re a bed&Breakfast and it’s just a beautiful place the mountains and a very family friendly place to visit and stay at.

    Great city for holidays but very busy.

    Great city for holidays but very busy. Cars are everywhere, so there's a lot of traffic. Be prepared for many drivers around. Restaurants are very expensive and some of them its just poor so please see the reviews before you go.

    Gramado is a very beautiful and friendly little town with an exciting night life, a lot of different places to visit and excellent restaurants and bars. As the town is very safe you can walk everywhere anytime you please. The typical food is rich in flour and delicious!

    Charming, lots to see and do, romantic.

    Charming, lots to see and do, romantic. However restaurants and chocolate stores are not vegan friendly except for La Hacienda hotel. If you are vegan and visit Gramado, book a place with a kitchen to cook your own meals.

    The hotel is large, with multiple buildings connected by a vast underground garage. The breakfast was very complete, though quite crowded. The pools were great, and the gym was well-equipped, modern-looking, and very clean. The staff was incredibly friendly and always willing to help with kids. The children's playroom was beyond excellent. The rooms were nice, with an excellent shower.
