    Interesting town, felt very much like a frontier settlement.

    Interesting town, felt very much like a frontier settlement. Tourist information bureau was very helpful. Lac st Jean is big! Excellent chocolate shop on south side of the lake on the road to Roberval. Stayed in Alma before heading down through Saguenay, stunning scenery, especially at Petit Saguenay quay.

    Bought a pickup truck at one the the Ram dealership, sight...

    Bought a pickup truck at one the the Ram dealership, sight unseen. I got such a good feeling from the people I spoke with that I was able to make this purchase without worry. Seems to be an indication that Alma is a great place and so much better than big city business. I would travel the 6 hours again.

    The location of the hotel, for me, was ideally situated. The rooms were clean, and enough toiletries, and towels for my stay. The Pacini restaurant attached to the hotel had a great menu and was very convenient, where I did not have to go out on my first night, on account that it was raining hard.

    We loved our stay at Almatoit. The accomodation and hostess were exceptional. The breakfast was super tasty using local products and recommendations where to dine in Alma were just what we had in mind We highly recommend Almatoit and would definitely stay again stay again
