There's pretty much nothing in Blue River except a few hotels and a few gas stations. An ok place to stop for the night between the Coast and Edmonton, but there's nothing to do there in the summer.

We have been stopping in Blue River for years .
We have been stopping in Blue River for years .We loved the Blue River Motel, but they no longer accept travelers. I have tried 2 other Hotels and they felt unsafe(they gave me an adjoining room),did not provide what was asked for in the kitchenette(a pot for the microwave and the next time a bowl for the stove). The Glacier Mountain Lodge is my go to now. We also found out about Elenore Lake ,after coming for many years!

If you’re looking for a clean, family friendly and modestly priced cabin to stay in, I would recommend Blue River. There were a couple of things that I didn’t care for. The campsite was crammed full, with RV’s parked within a stones throw of the cabins. I will admit it, however, that it was quiet after 10pm. Also, the hot water tank used for our cabin didn’t hold much hot water. My husband showered first and although he was quick used up almost all of the hot water. I had a hair full of shampoo when the water switched to cold. I rinsed and got out. Enjoyed breakfast and coffee, then finished my shower before we departed. The couple that run the cabin/campsite are really lovely. Overall, I was impressed with our experience.

Blue River was a perfect break in our trip from Edmonton Area to Kelowna. Our room was clean, quiet and the staff were very friendly and offered suggestions for walking and eating. We enjoyed a walk along the river and had a tasty bite at the Grizzly Food Shack as recommended by staff.

There is a River Safari where you can take a 1 hr boat ride in the Mud River and Mud Lake with possibilities of seeing wildlife (we only saw an osprey and her nest). The tour costs $110. Blue River doesn't have any restaurant. The only place is a burger stand.

The staff and owners are super kind.
The staff and owners are super kind. It’s a plus as we are able to bring our dog with us.
Very clean place wonderful walking trails, fishing and so much more. I would recommend this campground to anyone who is looking for a campground that offers a variety of accommodations as well as activities.

I stayed in two of your cabins this summer. What a great idea for someone on a budget that can't afford peak time hotel rates.
The cabins are very clean and comfy. There were washrooms with showers close by.
There is also a outside kitchen for anyone to use. Amazing.
Great half way point between Alberta and BC.
Hands up to the hosts:)
