Very nice separate room with Terrace and bath. Almost like a one room apartment. It has a TV and various utilities, Tee Coffee. Very helpful and nice hosts. It's great f you need a ride to the airport.

From the moment we checked in, the hotel staff greeted us with warm smiles and a genuine eagerness to assist with anything we needed. Their attentive and friendly service made us feel right at home. The hotel's attention to detail in maintaining the property was evident throughout our stay. From the pristine lobby to the well-kept gardens, it was clear that they take great pride in ensuring a top-notch guest experience. Our suite was nothing short of luxurious. The elegant design, coupled with the cozy fireplace, created a delightful ambiance that made us feel like we were indulging in a five-star retreat. The large balcony provided a picturesque view of the tranquil river, making it a perfect spot to enjoy our morning coffee or unwind in the evenings. The pool area was a definite highlight of our stay. With its sparkling clean waters and comfortable loungers, it quickly became our go-to spot for relaxation. The poolside service was impeccable, ensuring we had everything we needed for a perfect day under the sun. Overall, this hotel was the crown jewel of our Canada trip this year. The combination of friendly staff, impeccable maintenance, stunning suite with a fireplace and balcony, and the superlative pool area left us with memories we will cherish for a lifetime. We had an absolutely wonderful time at Emily’s house! The house is not only beautiful and very cozy, but also perfectly equipped with everything you could possibly need – and spotlessly clean. We also enjoyed sitting outside on the terrace and simply taking in the peaceful atmosphere. What truly makes Velvet Fern Guesthouse special is the thoughtful and loving attention to detail: everything was personally and carefully prepared for our arrival, including a lovely breakfast and bikes we could use – such a kind touch! We felt welcome and at home from the very first moment. Thank you so much, Emily – we’d love to come back!

It's a seaside town with an air base, an air museum, a marina and various parks. BC generally isn't big on organised attractions, and though there are paths along coasts you won't find ice cream vans, bucket and spade shops etc. This is Canadian seaside, and it's very different from the Victorian English vision of what a seaside resort should be like.

Comox has lots of beautiful areas to explore. The town was cute and had everything you needed plus some interesting stores. Great little getaway place. Plus there is also Courtenay and Cumberland right there for more areas to visit.

This time we stayed right around Kye Bay.

This time we stayed right around Kye Bay. We ventured over to Little River and Cape Lazo and visited some of the beaches, nice to change up the visual. We lunched at Crown Isle (tasty) and had dinner at Land and Sea brewery (also good). Getting groceries and fuel was easy and relatively close. We enjoyed some chipping and putting at Glacier Greens one evening. The beach at Key Bay was so wonderful! There is a lot more to do and we will likely go back.

We were pleasantly surprised with the good dining available...

We were pleasantly surprised with the good dining available in the town. Martine´s Bistro, Avenue, Bistro, Toscano´s Mediterranean Grill were all good. The first two are excellent. Be sure to reserve. MIlano Coffee is also a good spot. We came in Comox for the walking and geocaching, and were not disappointed.

I love Comox ,where can you go that you have so much...

I love Comox ,where can you go that you have so much selection of activates to choices from there are plenty of restaurants and bars as well ...just remember your on island time and an adventure playground so there's really no need for your fancy clothing unless your heading to a fancy party.....what ever you do have fun

Very welcoming small (three rooms only) hostel style place in a quiet, friendly residential area. Totally matches my preferences when traveling. We were apparently the very first group of guests, so obviously some details will still change. We enjoyed our stay. Michelle, the owner, gives you your space, still is right there in case you need anything. Great beaches are close by, also the Comox Lake climbing paradise and hiking trails, or whatever else you may be looking for. Cute cat ;-)

Great hosts!!! The breakfasts were over-the-top delicious, healthy and very well presented ... just like a gourmet restaurant!! The accommodations were delightful, very clean, very comfortable. Lovely deck with comfy couches, perfect for relaxing with a good book. A two minute walk to the beach was an added bonus. We would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely spot to stay in the Comox area.

You can't beat the location of this place. It's a 5 min drive from Comox airport and you're right on the water! Beautiful view and so quiet, aside from hearing the waves all day :) The snacks, breakfast and beverages included in your stay are abundant and varied. The owners were very flexible and accommodating.
