It is a small community but the shops and restaurants around the bay are very good. There is an excellent yoga studio in Duncan, about 10 minutes away. It is called the Vancouver Island Yoga School and I went every day during my stay. There is a wonderful cafe called the Garage right next to it that serves lots of gluten free options. Great little hidden gem - perfect when you’re doing the Pacific Marine Circle drive! Pool was great, the view is jaw-dropping, and the Cook and Butcher restaurant in the hotel is really high quality! Walking distance from Cowichan Bay restaurants and downtown. The kind gentleman at the front desk offered ideas of what to do in the area. We could take water and soda from the fridge in the reception area. At the moment there are renovations going on however there was no disturbance from these renovations.
