We had planned on staying here for a few nights. This turned out to be a good idea as the weather was terrible; we were hit with a snow storm we hadn't expected. The Algonquin Resort was the perfect place to spend one of our days inside by the fire, reading. The room was comfortable, the staff was helpful, the food and drinks were great.

I believe that even when you decide to go far from home and want a bit of a change from the everyday, you still want the comfort and warmth of home. That's exactly what my friend and I felt. The two hosts made us feel so welcome, we immediately felt like members of the family. Always available if we needed anything and super open to talk to us/recommend things. Their story with Montague Rose Inn is very inspiring, the place is beautiful and perfectly located. We hadn't even left that we wanted to book to come back during the summer. Sparkling clean, everything I needed. I could open the window and get fresh air, I love to smell the sea. Beautiful view. Able to walk the beach. Kind, friendly staff. I was there off-season...so peaceful and quiet. Great restaurant next door.

    The island is awesome... lots of sights to see.... The people treat you like family. getting around the island is very easy as wqell as crossing into the USA is very easy and accessible. Definatly an island you want to visit with its rich history and connections to USA.
