Very beautiful hotel. Very nice room and bathroom. Very kind, nice, thoughtful staff. They carried my luggage to my room on arrival. Every evening live piano music. Outside on the terrace is a magnificent place to have breakfast or diner. They clean your room twice a day. It's a nice, quiet place to be, a place where one really can relax.

The location is absolutely stunning with beautiful lake and mountain views. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options. Exceptional view over Lugano; friendly, professional staff; premises slightly old fashioned yet all modern conveniences were present; very, very well maintained, clean and cosy. Room had a huge balcony overlooking the lake and the town with an area in front of the windows with a sofa where you could sit down and relax. Very silent location. Free parking space.

    Gandria was a beautiful village.

    Gandria was a beautiful village. It is carless and has lots of stone steps, so it requires basic fitness levels and working knees. The old rustic buildings were gorgeous and there are a few places that provide access to swim in the lake. Locanda Gandriese was the best restaurant we ate at for the entire trip. It's a really lovely little part if the world.

    Typical nice village nestled on the slope of Monte Bré, right on the lake. Nice and quiet, it offers various opportunities to walk along the lake, climb the mountain, tour on boat, and drink and eat. It is a nice place to stay.

    We had a reservation for a room at Le Bucce di Gandria but due to a technical error with the booking system there was an overbooking and the staff of this place kindly solved it by arranging another room (with amazing lake view!) for us at Antico Ristorante, right next to the river. So my rating is about the room in Antico: Peaceful room, Beautiful view, Friendly staff.

    The balcony and the view were fantastic. It was also good to be able to access the small coffee area, sink and fridge. Gandria itself was lovely for a visit and the property was right by the bus stop so we were able to take the bus directly from Lugano train station. The shared bathroom was clean and a hairdryer was provided.

    Amazing views, calm lake waters, helpful and friendly staff. Small bus Linea 490 takes you directly to Gandria from Lugano. There is always a bottle of water in the room upon arrival. Also coffee machine in the hallway (with free capsules). There is also a supermarket at gas station (5-minutes-walk).
