So, there is nothing about Puerto Montt.
So, there is nothing about Puerto Montt. I thought it would be a nice city. But its not. So skip it, instead better stay in Puerto Varas - it is closer to the nice things in the area, hotels are good and atmosphere is better. We went on a shopping trip, so didn't go to any beaches or other touristy places, except to have fish/seafood lunch in Angelmo. We had dinner in a pleasant Peruvian restaurant near our hotel. The seafront in the city centre is attractive or a stroll when the sun comes out - we were lucky on the second day. The large mall opposite has all kinds of things at good prices, especially if you live in Argentina! the city is a good base or starting point to explore the region. The city itself is unremarkable in my view but is close to a lot of amazing places: Peulla, Petrohue, Cochamo, Chiloe island, Puerto Varas, Vicente Perez national park, Puerto Varas, Puerto Octay... Clean though. It is redeemed by being right on top of the bus station.
