The whole place was so peaceful and beautiful. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Also the food at the restaurant was tasty and reasonably priced. We had a great time there

I stayed at this hotel and was very pleased with my experience! First of all, the location is absolutely stunning — the hotel is situated in a scenic area with breathtaking views. Every day enjoyed panoramic views and nature right from my window — a true treat for the soul. The staff made a great impression — they speaks English, they are always polite and ready to help. You can really feel their genuine care for the guests: they help with luggage, give advice on routes, assisted with tickets and taxi.

I cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough! From the moment I booked, the host’s warm and attentive service made me feel right at home. Communication was seamless in English, and they went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. The room was immaculately clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed—like a home away from home. The property itself is charming, with a lovely swimming pool (perfect for relaxing) and even two adorable ponies on-site! It was such a unique touch that added to the overall magic of the experience. Location-wise, it’s ideally situated near major attractions, and public transport options are just steps away. Plus, the price was incredibly reasonable for all that’s included. Whether traveling for leisure or business, this place offers unbeatable value, comfort, and a memorable stay. Thank you for everything—I’ll definitely be back!

THAT MAY Hotel is located in easy walking distance [10 min] from 'Standing Coffee Viewpoint' - one of the most scenic location along the Li River. A misleading name as it is a karst hill with an outstanding view from the easy to reach first view point. Reaching the top is not necessary at all, and rather cumbersome - albeit there is a stairway. Try only if fit and with acceptable shoes. Both viewpoints are unforgettable! Yes, one must buy a drink to get access - about CYN 30+. Cash or Alipay. There is also the Dixin Tansuo Cave within 1+ km from THAT MAY Hotel. Jack might drive you there. I asked for a bike ride from one of the kind Standing Viewpoint staff and tipped him well. They were not very busy on that day. Avoid this cave if you are overweight, very tall, or not 100% mobile. I suffered! I would not visit it again. The first chamber of the cave is well lit and 'enough' - easy to reach. Then turn back to the entrance!! Entrance fee: CYN 42. Cash or Alipay, etc. On my first evening I had ordered a locally fished 'Beer Fish' as per Jack's suggestion; prepared by his cook. Excellent. I highly recommend it. Unfortunately, I stayed two days only as I already had made preparation for my onward journey to Kunming by highspeed train. These tickets must be booked well in advance as trains are almost always fully booked. 3 nights, or even many more nights simply to relax would have been more charming. The i-net is medium fast due to the rural area, I presume. After 22:00+ or in early morning one can easily send or download heavy data too. Up the gentle hill, just beyond the above mentioned Cave, there is a pleasant local restaurant serving affordable and very tasty food and they offer a great view too. If driven there, a walk back is easy and safe due to limited traffic, i.e., during daylight. There are 2 mall shops just 100+ m away from Jack's hotel. No ATM in sight, Bring Alipay or cash.

[highly recommend Mark's place. The situation is amazing (great view and not too close from Yansghuo and its intense traffic, so quiet and peaceful, though with easy access). Fairyland hotel is comfortable with big rooms. The room had a great view and the bed was comfy !You share a lovely garden (with flowers and healthy vegetables -no pesticides!) with others guests, perfect for a beer at sunset. Last but not least, The hotel's staff are very enthusiastic ,very kind host, very thoughtful, who will show you all the secret treasures of this beautiful countryside. He's also a great cook: I don't eat meat but tasted a lot of different dishes, so delicious. I was travelling alone for a month and had the most incredible experience there. With Mark and his friends I discovered places I would never have been, shared great moments bicycling, fishing, climbing mountains, dining or playing cards. I will stay there next time for sure and I'm looking forward to :)

We spent a delightful couple of days at the Zen Garden Hotel. The hotel is set in an idyllic part of Yangshuo, with stunning views over the local countryside and river. It is a lovely spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of Chinese city life. All the staff were amazing and truly wanted to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The food was delicious,mainly Chinese with locally sourced ingredients but the chef will cook some western food too if you ask them.

Very clean. English speak personal. Helpfull with every little thing. Prepare plan and book everyticket for us and organize all attractions. Went with us to every attraction entrance and provide bycicles with deliveries and pick up just in our decided random places. Thank you.

Our stay was perfect. Every time we returned from our tours or shopping, it felt like we were back in paradise. The staff were welcoming and professional; the rooms were clean, and the breakfast served was delectable. We also enjoyed feeding the ducks, peacocks and fishes. The bamboo rafting experience was a bonus.

The staff were so friendly, the view was beautiful and the whole place in general was so cozy and had an ancient chinese feel to it which I loved! So nice that there was a pool as well since it is very hot outside, and the pool temperature was perfect! The noodles breakfast was delicious! Everything was perfect!
