Our trip to the Amazon was incredible. The best stay of our Colombian trip, we cannot recommend it enough. The food was local and they adapted to our preferences (my partner is vegetarian), the cabins were comfortable, cozy and we felt at home. Staying at this hostal with a local family was an unforgettable experience! It offered an authentic glimpse into the daily life of the Macedonia community. We had incredible adventures, including a night walk through the jungle, a canoe ride on the river, and an amazing trip to a neighboring community in Peru. The chance to observe the stunning nature up close was truly special. The food was delicious, and the comfort exceeded our expectations. If only we could have stayed longer!

All the activities offered were pretty entertaining and fun. I particularly enjoyed trekking in the jungle and being able to see so close so many animals. The staff was very friendly as well and the natural vibes of the place are perfect for an amazon trip.

I was impressed with my room, it offered a sizeable double bed and the accomodation itself overlooked the Amazon river. where you can admire the sunrise and sunset. The staff were super helpful & friendly. The Maloka in the center of the accommodation offered the perfect space to browse the handmade artesanias, as well as enjoy a meal and meet local people and travellers alike. I would go back in a heartbeat.

We spent three wonderful days with Daniel and his family in the beautiful village of San Martín de Amacayacu. The place is easily accessible by speedboat from either Leticia or Puerto Nariño. The boat drops you off at a riverside point where Daniel came to meet us personally. We highly recommend this stay for anyone looking for simple yet comfortable accommodation, delicious home-cooked meals, and a warm, welcoming family atmosphere. A variety of activities are available, including day and night hikes, workshops, and excursions — all of which can be arranged on-site. We especially enjoyed the day hike, the basket-weaving workshop, and a trip to see the “lazy bears” on the Peruvian side — all of which we would highly recommend. Daniel was a fantastic host: attentive, helpful, and always available to answer questions and accommodate our needs. Thank you so much for a memorable stay!

I've had a great time staying with Crisanto and Diana! The hospedaje is a lovely house located at the edge of the rainforest. There's lots of insects, birds, exotic trees and plants near the house, and even some tiny monkeys! Diana's food was amazing (she catered to my dietary restrictions too), and Crisanto was a great guide, taking me to the forest both during the day and at night. I also spent some time cooking with Diana, and got some traditional painting done. I really felt like a part of their family, and highly recommend the hospedaje!

Had a wonderful experience in the hotel. Good clean rooms (with airco, very much needed here!), nice food, and great and helpful staff. You'll live in the middle of a national park, with the local indigenous Mocagua community 40 minutes away by foot as the next village. You'll be fully immersed in the life in the jungle, with John and his family taking excellent care of you. The activities are great as well - we focused on hikes and boat tours. The price of activities might seem high, but they are organised just for you.

We have traveled half the world and have never experienced anything like this. We do not speak Spanish, but we still felt perfectly taken care of. We saw the jungle from both land and water, we saw dolphins and learned about the Amazonian natural methods of dyeing fabrics and handicrafts. We fished for piranhas in a scenery like from Indiana Jones. But the best thing was the hospitality with which we were received. Always delicious meals 3 times a day. Infinite understanding if our language was too weak to ask something. Thank you very much, you are beautiful people
