Lahnstein is a jem within the beautiful rhine river region. Visiting the boardwalk by the rhine with a beautiful cafe and options to catch a boat ride to ohter beautiful villages. Lahneck the towns castle is a most see, easy to be hikes to. Lahnstein has beautiful old architekture and considered a nice place to visit with all its rich history. Nice village/city at the Rhine. Several antique buildings worth seeing. Bad coffee at the restaurant near the Rhine (not the KD boat stand, try that one please). Enough shops and supermarkets. We used Lahnstein as a base for travelling around the area...
We used Lahnstein as a base for travelling around the area but there is also plenty to do within walking distance of this apartment. Be very wary of relying on German trains - we used DB to travel around the area as well as to get to and from the Eurostar at Brussels. Without doubt this is the worst train system I've used with packed trains (no seats even when reserved in first class), regularly delayed trains, and trains stopping several stations short of the advertised destination.Guest review byPaulUnited Kingdom

Close to the Rhine, the restaurants in the area was very affordable and you can catch the cruise for the Rhine river walking distance from the hotel. From the rooms that are river facing you can see the Castle! Also sufficient parking in and around the hotel, but no working electric car charging facilities in the area.
