Everything was perfect and way above our expectations. The historic buildings are wonderfully renovated, the room we got (standard) was spacious, nicely decorated, calm and facing the water. The location (in the center but a few meters away from the touristic areas) is absolutely perfect. The breakfast is really good and the restaurant (try to book in advance) is the best in the region. Above all, at all time, the staff was both professional and friendly (rare). We enjoyed every single minute of our stay and we will definitely come back - thanks a lot for everything !

Property is new, modern and comfortable. Location is great. Service is exceptional, probably the best I’ve seen in Germany so far. Personal is very hospitable, nice and helpful, especially Sofia 🫶 And they even gave us a discount for Spreewelten Bad, and a small gift 🎁🥰

Lübbenau is beautiful place in general. It was absolutely worthy! Hotel is not very far from the centre but have in mind you will spend solid 15-18min walking to there. Staff was not very wow.. Restaurant is very cute, very beautiful. Staff was very polite, breakfast was delicious and we liked it a lot. Very clean restaurant, good variety of drinks and food.

    Beautiful town in Spreewald.

    Beautiful town in Spreewald. We were only 3 days there and it was far from enough. Arrive in the midlle of week, there will be fewer tourists. Go for a breakfast to Bubner, visit the City museum, and of course go kayaking!

    Not for anyone seeking a bit of excitement.

    Not for anyone seeking a bit of excitement. We rented kayaks and that was a lot of fun, prices are high for most everything and many of the locals seemed to be super stressed out by the tourists. They have an odd sense of humor there that not everyone will appreciate. The nearby Tropical Island Resort was great, specially if you have kids. The massivness of the building alone was very impressive the facilities were well thought out and well cared for.

    Both my friend and I had a magical experience at the Schloss. The location was breath taking. The top floor room had a beautiful view of the gardens. The breakfast had great variety and the dinner at the hotel was a very romantic, fine dining experience for us. In all cases the staff was super friendly, and accommodating. 10/10 would come here again.

    The most authentic and tranquil place that I have been to in Germany. Friendly people, gorgeous canals and cycling or walking from village to village on pristine paths. Relaxation, great food and a festive (but not excessive) vibe. Definitely will be back!

    The city is boring.

    The city is boring. And if you also come for the weekend, then the only available entertainment is kayaking and canoeing will be heavily loaded. Sometimes there were no kayaks/canoes available due to the influx of people. Hiking and cycling trails do not deserve mentions

    Lübbenau is one of the best places to stay in the Spreewald!

    Lübbenau is one of the best places to stay in the Spreewald! It's a small, quiet village, yet it has many restaurants and cafes, a train station, and offers many possibilities for outdoor activities (I recommend renting a kayak to visit the Spreewald canals!). The village itself is really cute and the breathtaking Spreewald scenery is right nearby. If you book a hotel or pension there, you get a discount card which allows you to use the local bus and train for free, and gives you discounts for many tourist activities! I recommend visiting Lübbenau in the spring or in the fall, when nature is the most beautiful and there aren't too many tourists around. It can get really crowded in the summer.

    Big historic palace refitted into hotel accommodation - interesting history and architectural features on a grand scale. Staircase is magnificent. Clean and comfortable. I appreciated the insect screens on the windows given the mosquitos in the swamps around Lubbenau. Exceptional breakfast buffet with attentive staff- remembering your preferences from one day to the next.

    The staff were super professional and did a wonderful job. We were truly impressed. I contacted the hotel asking for extra beds in our rooms for children and they responded promptly and everything was setup as expected.     Excellent Gasthaus right in the middle of Lübbenau. You can reach everything from there within a walking distance, perfect for discovering the wider forest or starting cycling or kayak trips. The included breakfast buffet was of exceptional quality! I will definitely stay here again next time!
