Great rooms with exceptional view of the Alps. Marnix the owner greeted us with his charm and I have to say that he is the best host I have ever met. The atmosphere was homey and relaxing. Would recommend this hotel for a nice stay in the Alps.

Das Bergmayr is the ideal spot whether you’re traveling alone, as a couple, or with the whole family. There are plenty of things to do and see in the area, and as a guest you receive a special card with free activities – just because you’re staying here. The views are stunning, the air is fresh, and the atmosphere has an authentic Bavarian spirit. The guesthouse also has a restaurant with a modest but decent selection of dishes. Breakfast is included, and it’s a very generous and tasty one – definitely a big plus. You can rent a bike for 4 or 8 hours (€15 and €30 respectively). The staff is extremely friendly and speaks both German and English. The wellness area has two saunas and a pool. The saunas are quite small (max. 4 people), and the pool is 1.6 m deep with modest dimensions, but it’s perfect for cooling off after a sauna session. Our room had a TV. If you’re wondering about the difference between Comfort and Standard rooms: Comfort rooms are larger and perfect for families. Parking costs €5 per night, and they are not responsible if you can’t find a spot on the property – though they do have quite a few spaces available. We recommend this place to everyone, and we’ll definitely be coming back!

Nicely refurbished rooms, breakfast served at reasonable times, very kind staff. We also arrived late in the night and it was not a problem to leave our keys in the box, dogs are welcome, nice surroundings and great view from the room. The village is very nice, spa very close, great access from the higway.

    Beautiful cottage-style hotel 25km from the Königssee with a self check-in ability if you come late. The room was stylish and very clean. The beds were comfortable. And we had a beautiful view over the mountains from our balcony. A good place to stay if you came to visit Berchtesgaden

    The hotel is right at the mountains. Very beautiful location and view. The rooms are big, very clean and nice! The staff was extremely kind and helpfull. Our car had a puncture and the staff helped us get in touch with a workshop to have it fixed. All perfect:)
