Quite unexpected and absolutley fabulous. In the middle of nowhere, wonderful views and silence so quiet you could hear it. We arrived to a Barbecue night so one would be forgiven for expecting overcooked charcoaled food but the range of choice was extensive and perfectly cooked by the owner - clearly an expert BBQ-er. Rooms were spotless , the breakfast buffet was extensive and fresh.. We would have stayed longer if we had the time. As the guide Michelin would say "Vaut le Voyage"

Loved everything about this hotel. On motorcycle tour of Europe. Parking good for bikes. Lovely room. Great place to stay for 3 night's....would happily have stayed longer. Very comfortable. Food good.

Still, the true highlights were the exquisite breakfast and the warm, graceful staff who made every detail feel special. Staying here is not just accommodation – it’s an indulgence, a boutique luxury experience. And tell me – have you ever enjoyed a sauna with a lake view? I did here, and it was an unforgettable experience. Perhaps the only refinement would be to offer a little more English information in the in-room instructions. Beyond that, the post-stay communication and support were absolutely flawless.

The Location of the Apartment was great.

The Location of the Apartment was great. The communication with the caretaker was tricky as he only spoke German. Felt like I could not utilize the benifits of the city tax, which was collected in cash, but could not enjoy the benifits such as free boat ride on lake Titsee. We arrived quite late to check-in which made the whole experience of communication (language barrier) very challenging. The Apartment was small but had everything we needed to cook up meals. Great WiFi, comfy beds. Smart TV in bedroom and Living room was nice to have. There was free parking available, which was easy to access. We enjoyed a movie on Netflix. Given the language barrier, I would not stay here again.

Titisee-Neustadt is a charming town with a lot to offer. The lake is beautiful and perfect for a relaxing stroll, and the town center is full of character, with lovely little shops, cozy restaurants, and plenty of ice cream stands. It’s a great place for a peaceful getaway and to enjoy the Black Forest atmosphere. However, one unpleasant experience during our visit was dinner at Musse am See – Bio Asia Dining. We were a group of 3 adults and 4 children, and we ordered at 8:20 PM. The service was extremely slow and disorganized: The first dish (for one child) arrived at 8:50 PM. Two more dishes (for adults) came at 9:05 PM. The remaining four meals (for one adult and three children) didn’t arrive until 9:20 PM. A simple Sprite took over 15 minutes, and only arrived after my friend went to the counter to ask about it. The staff seemed unaware until she pointed it out. To make matters worse, the waiter spilled the Sprite onto one of the children’s meals, which completely ruined it—and the child didn’t eat after that. I love Asian food, but this was by far the most disappointing experience I’ve had at an Asian restaurant. It was a real letdown in an otherwise lovely town.

We stayed in Titisee many years ago when it was a lovely quite place by the lake, now its like Disneyland with hoards of people and tatt. The cafes are all average with gloomy staff. Absolutely awfull, couldnt wait to leave. The highlight was the pension we stayed in. It is ruined, we wont be returning.

Titisee-Neustadt is a truly charming destination, nestled in the Black Forest with a beautiful lake and picturesque views that feel straight out of a postcard. I’ve visited twice — once in February and once in May — and both times I was lucky to have sunny weather that made the surroundings even more magical. The town itself is cute and definitely has that classic "Kurort" (spa town) feeling. It’s clean, tidy, and built to please. However, it’s also extremely touristic. Almost everything feels curated for visitors — from the Black Forest souvenirs to the so-called local specialties (with matching tourist price tags). It can feel a bit artificial at times, like a movie set of a perfect Alpine village. That said, if you're looking for fresh air, scenic walks, and relaxing lakeside moments, it’s still worth the trip. Just know you won’t be alone — Titisee is no hidden gem, but it’s easy to see why so many people love it.

We can at an off season which was nice because it was less crowded. However, it meant that the hours of shops and restaurants had a much smaller window. The lake and surroundings were beautiful! It was our home base to explore the Black Forest and towns near us!

Perhaps dependent upon good weather (which we had): the views and facilities in the area are superb. Good roads, everywhere looks so clean. There are large numbers of mobile homes/caravans/campervans in the area and we can imagine the location would be very busy in the main season (we visited for two nights in early Sep 23).

Super helpful owner/staff, very generous and accommodating. This is a quieter location than the main Lake Titisee 'resprt', but you can catch the train to Titisee 50m from the Hotel. Neustadt is quiet and has a good choice of restaurants and cafes - we ate well and walked well.
