Nice place, excellent restaurant in-house, Fernando was a great host, very attentive, provided us with nice tours to Cotopaxi national park and laguna quilotoa, as well as transport to other destinations in Ecuador mainland. Very clean and well maintained hotel, highly recommended.

If I could give this place more than ten, I would. Our stay there was wonderful and Paulina was simply the loveliest host I have ever met on my travels. Her mother also cooked us a three course meal that was delicious and enormous - and for a ridiculously low price. The Lodge has a variety of accommodations and a lovely lounge with wood fire. Outside are two llamas and two sheep! The location is on the road from the PanAmericana to the gate of the Cotopaxi National Park so is perfectly situated. Paulina is extremely knowledgable about the area and we were so grateful that she spoke English so that we could talk to her and learn from her. We had originally planned to stay somewhere else but a medical issue required a change of plans - and we are so grateful that we ended up at Rumipaxi Lodge.

Making it the perfect place to rest and start adventures into the Nature like Cotopaxi national park. But the best thing is the little place itself and it's amazing owners that couldn't care more about your well-being and helping you with literally everything!! What didn't I like?! Absolute friendly staff (they kept the restaurant open longer for us due to our delayed arrival), the view from the ranch was gorgeos, the ranch itself is upheld perfectly, the rooms are clean and nice. Beds are suuuuuuuuuuper comfy!

Ideal location to start summit to Iliniza Norte or Sur, or just do hiking. Frank, the landlord, is a nice and helpful guy who can rent climbing gear for very affordable prices and provide any sort of advice and sort your problems. Recommend Iliniza Wasi for hikers and climbers.

everything about tambopaxi was so beautiful. super clean lodges with a lovely fire that the staff light up for you! the dinner was also super delicious, would highly recommend the horse riding as well !
