Barcelona is a very beautiful city.
Barcelona is a very beautiful city. I haven’t been there for about 8 years and have noticed that it is very crowded in the Rambles area. The further away from Las Ramblas you go the less crowded it is. If you don’t like crowds I would stay in a different area, but if it doesn’t bother you and you want to be in the center of everything I would recommend staying in the gothic quarter.Guest review byKerryUnited States - 10.0

Barcelona is a city that truly has it all! Stunning architecture, beaches, and every neighborhood has its own charm and energy. I loved exploring La Boqueria Market and the Gothic Quarter. The beaches are nice also. The red cable car that crosses the port to the beach offers breathtaking views of the city and sea. The museums were incredible too, especially the MNAC and the Museum of Modern Art, both must-sees for art lovers. Park Güell is just magical — colorful, unique, and full of Gaudí’s genius everywhere you look. A top tip: get the Hop-On Hop-Off bus pass for the week. Barcelona was very easy to get around .Very busy city if you don't like crowds maybe not a place for you. Eating out can be pricey but if you take out it can be cheaper. We had many tours including a paella cooking class, Flamenco show, a trip out to Monseratte, and of course one to Park Guell and Sagrada Familia- which left us just enough time to walk around and experience other great food in nearby restaurants . Barcelona was just waiting to be explored. We were able to negotiate the busy streets and find our way around to see a lot of the local sites on foot. We enjoyed the culture of the city and the social vibes that were obvious everywhere you go; the street cafes come alive in the afternoons. Enjoyed the usual tourist spots including the must-see Sagrada Familia.
