Benidorm is the destination of choice for the loud and gregarious but it is often turned up to 11. There is a different side to Benidorm. Old Town is bustling but nothing like as noisy as the "Strip" end. Avoid apartments that are too near the Strip. The old town is very charming and the sea views are great...and the sea has crystal clear water. Restaurants are great; many serving authentic Spanish cuisine. Prices are very reasonable. The town is a bit over-run by tourists, however, many of whom do not seem too appreciative of the fact that they are in Spain. Benidorm has something for everyone.
Benidorm has something for everyone. Don’t get hung up on it’s mixed reputation. Some areas may not be for you, but there is so much more. The beaches are some of the best on the Costa Blanca. Old town and Levante are always buzzing with activity all year round, even during weekdays, no other place has this. There’s excellent restaurants if you know where to look, beautiful scenic lookout points, theme parks, waterparks, a zoo, nightlife, etc etc. If you enjoy a more quiet place to stay go for Poniente. It’s also a great base of operations to go out adventuring the area, visit Tabarca island, climb mount Campana, go for a round of golf, visit Alicante. Benidorm has something for everyone and all ages.
Benidorm has something for everyone and all ages. The seafront is spotless and beautiful. The rowdy areas are a few streets in and if you don’t want to party you don’t have to. Many free shows and great bars if you want that. Tapas restaurants abundant in the old town, sea front cafe bars, nearby town of Altea is stunning - €20 in a taxi.
