Great little town with many restaurants and bars, mainly frequented by Spanish people and other tourists. Many families on holiday which made the place feel safe. I would consider staying there in the future as part of another tour.

Good location for exploring the park and surrounding areas.

Good location for exploring the park and surrounding areas. Town itself is nice but there's not much to see/do after the bridge. Head out to the park and drive to other locations in this incredible area.

Loved the town which had a good vibe. Would recommend visits to Lagos de Covadonga, Cares Gorge Walk, Cudillero, Llanes. We enjoyed several bars and retaurants including El Horru Encantau. And not forgetting the local Sidra.

Cangas de Onis, is an interesting town.

Cangas de Onis, is an interesting town. We spent some time people watching at the Roman Bridge, strolling along the river bank and enjoying coffee and beer at some of the cafes and bars. Good choice of restaurants for day time and evening meals, catering for most tastes. A good base for exploring the Picos de Europa and the wider area.

The hotel is close to the famous Puente Romano and the center of town. Very short walking distance. The town is beautiful and close to the Covadonga church and the Lakes of Covadonga. One of the most beautiful places in Spain.

My review of Cangas de Onis might be slightly based on my endless love for Asturias but apart from that, it's a lovely town to visit, get to know local food, craft beers, cider, treats and see surrounding mountain landscapes. There are several shops to get local products, typical for the region. There are even places with vegetarian food options that are usually difficult to find in rural Spain. For me Cangas de Onis was an intermediate stop on the way to Poncebos to do the Cares Gorge trail. Places that offer vegetarian food: Felix Cafeteria Bar, Casa Luisa, Cafe Picos

Very centrally located accommodation in Cangas de Onis. Friendly owner who (despite not speaking English) was very communicative over the Booking.com app, and a basic but spacious room with a small balcony overlooking the main street. If you want luxury you should go somewhere else, but otherwise this is great value for money for a visit to the Covadonga lakes.

The size of the hotel and most of all its "personality" made of stone, wood and furniture with an antique flair. The owner is super kind and helpful without being intrusive. Even if the hotel is on the street by night is very quite because almost no car pass by. Breakfast was great, with a wide selection including homemade treats.

A very friendly hotel. Our room was quite small but functional and very clean. We enjoyed the fairly typical Spanish breakfast - fresh coffee & juice, a good portion of freshly made tostadas and the inevitable piece of cake (different each day!)

It is located just outside Cangas de Onís with a large parking lot which is great if you are getting there by car. Walking to town only takes a few minutes. Room and bathroom size is fine. Breakfast is good.
