We arrived late but we’re able to pick up the local red wine which was excellent. What a great location and room was massive. We loved it and thank you to the staff who went out of there way to help us have an unforgettable time.

We changed to a different apartment due to problems with the door opening. This was arranged with good communication from the owner the day before we arrived. It was a very quirky and unique apartment that we loved! Tastefully decorated. Good outside terrace with shaded table area and sunloungers to relax. A great space for our dog to enjoy too! Very spacious, huge bed. Good communication with host.

This is not a lower class hotel. Clean .friendly cheap.excellent evening menue well cooked. Also able to purchase exceptional quality wine that doesn't break the bank .free wify . Parking. Only 3 hrs from Bilbao . Will return .

    We did not feel welcome.

    We did not feel welcome. Had to search for a receptionist to book in. It was really a truck stop. We had to search the streets to find something to eat. In the morning. The breakfast room was full of road workers,milling around in hi vi's. We struggled to get served. Miserable long faced staff. We were glad to leave.

    We have been using this hotel for many years as we travel...

    We have been using this hotel for many years as we travel from the Alicante region to Bilbao, or Santander ferry ports. We have always found the staff friendly and helpful. The hotel rooms are always clean and fresh on arrival. The restaurant is typically Spanish the food always very tasty and varied. This hotel just a great overnight stop.

    Comfortable stopover en route to Santander and the second time we have stayed here. The room had air conditioning which was essential in the 36c heat. Beds and pillows were most comfortable this time. Bar was very atmospheric as always and breakfast was as expected. Staff were friendly and we managed to communicate well despite the language barrier. There was not a vegetarian choice on the menu but they managed to cater for us nevertheless and that was greatly appreciated. Parking is free and on site. All in all a very good stay and with such convenient access to the motorway. Great value for money and we will stay here again in the future.

    Fantastic location just off the main road halfway between Santander and our house in Jalon ( Costa Blanca ) We always stay at this hotel both journeys to and from the ferry port and stay 5/ 6 times a year and always good the hotel restaurant is excellent, great food and service and fantastic value for monty

    We arrived quite late, and were given a warm welcome, the room was a good size, spotlessly clean and we had a great nights sleep. Lovely coffee and croissant the next day. We can't rate it high enough and we will definitely stay again on our trip from France to southern Spain. Thank you Hotel Carinena!

    Always stay at this hotel for an overnight stay on the way to The Costa Blanca, it’s a great overnight stop with excellent dinner in the Restaurant and good breakfast in the bar in the mornings.
