I love more rural areas, the peace and quiet of it all, but close enough be in town for sight seeing, or other historical sights. Plenty of things to do and explore. The Botanical Gardens, the Cathedral Cultural Center, Gijon downtown and Old Town, Oveida to name a few. I wish we had spent more time there.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

We stayed here on our way from the ferry in Bilbao on our way to Galicia and we definitely chose the best place! This is a beautiful country guesthouse in a quiet rural enclave with spectacular views and a wonderful welcome. Just ten minutes' drive from the centre of Gijon, it offers the best of both worlds - a restful, peaceful country retreat and easy access to the city centre and beaches. Cristina could not have been more attentive and hospitable. The rooms are lovely with real attention to detail from the artisan toiletries to the freshly cut off flowers. We had a garden room that looked out over the gardens and rolling fields and beyond over Gijon. The breakfast was amazing and plentiful, complete with homebaked shortbread! Cristina was also very pet friendly which was much appreciated. We will be back! We highly recommend to anyone staying in Gijon.Guest review byAnneIreland
