You can see that the place is run by people who enjoy what they do! Also, i didnt intend to stay in La Carlota, but it turned out to be such a charming little place, with all the houses with classic Andalusian architecture and a lot of family owned restaurants and bars on the main street, such a lovely vibrant town! We are on a cycle touring trip and we even had our bikes taken into the hotel for us. As we were obviously from overseas we were given samples of local produce to try with our meal as the waitress wanted us to try them.
