    Motril have everything near by. 1hr to Malaga, 1h30 of Torremolinos, 40 min of Sierra Nevada... In 10 to 15 min you're in a another village with seafront with restaurants and bars.. This city still offer a "tapa" when you ask for a drink...It's amazing... I saw a council worker sweeping the street at 10pm... I walked safety at any hour. Where I live in the UK, and from where I'm from I don't feel that safety.

    Such a great little city that feels very safe and enjoyable for travellers. We loved the local feel of Motril, unlike other places along the coast that we visited. The locals were friendly and there was a great selection of restaurants and bars as well as a nice walk to the beach with good access for pedestrians. I wouldn’t recommend bringing a car as the streets are little but a scooter or moped would be ideal. You must try Pizzeria Vespa and Zarcillo Restaurant was such a special place to go for dinner too. We also loved a little late night walk around the cactus garden which is such a cute place. Motril, you were excellent!

    It is a very traditional , working town which we like . Tapas bars every where and a tapas run is definitely something to do , you can’t go wrong . Free tapas with every drink( except coffee) . The history of the sugar cane is interesting and there are patches of old sugar cane everywhere . Beautiful gardens , including a cactus garden , right in the centre of Malaga, next to the church on the hill . The church is beautiful if it is open , sorry can’t help on opening times but I know Sunday mass is at 10 am . Nearby Salobrena is worth a visit , it has a moorish castle and a regular bus service . Almunecar is also very lovely. Skiing 2 hours away in Sierra Nevada

    Playa Poniente and Playa Granada in Motril are a tranquil...

    Playa Poniente and Playa Granada in Motril are a tranquil pretty beaches with good amenities. It's a little off the beaten track which made it nice b/c it wasn't mobbed with tourists. Highly recommend Motril's Playa Poniente and Playa Granada for a relaxing beach vacation.

    Hotel and room exactly as described online. Very friendly and helpful front desk and staff. We really liked the local restaurants; Katena, Juan Garcia for the freshest seafood and Morelli for pizza and pasta. Some nice places in the town of Motril also where we went for lunch. Can walk or bus into town (about 3-4 km) We traveled to Granada for day trip via bus from the Motril bus station very easy. We booked for six days but ended up staying 5 days. Hotel honored our request to check out early when we gave them 48-hour notice which we really appreciated.

    Motril is not a tourist destination.

    Motril is not a tourist destination. The town has only two hotels. Elba one of them. If you just passing Motril and you need to spend 1-2 nights- this hotel is right for you. Breakfast was great, but dinner- sorry 😣.

    We had a wonderful stay at the apartments in Motril. Everything was clean, comfortable, and just as described. The swimming pool was beautiful and very well maintained – definitely a highlight! Ana was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Highly recommended – we’d love to come back!
