    The building is a lovely old mansion complete with interesting original dark tilework around a roofed central courtyard. Our room had a balcony which gave lovely views over the town and into the countryside. Breakfast was very good. There is no parking immediately by the hotel so we parked safely in a street carpark by the bus station about 400m away.

    Liked the quality of the marble floors and tiles. Plenty of easy parking. The reception lady was very efficient and friendly. The older gentlemen waiters and bar staff were a joy, full of fun and striving to understand our limited Spanish language They had a good laugh with us and made the visit to the hotel very pleasurable.

    We loved the atmosphere in the Friends' eat-café. Dinners were excellent, eat-like-the-locals. Breakfast was fine. The town of Olivenza (Olivença) is amazing, a medieval settlement in an area where people seem still have time for eachother. Lucky people that live there!
