The location is perfect for pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago. Besides the room being comfortable, there is also a bar and a shop available at any time. The hosts were very friendly and helpful when messaging and meeting us at the house. The house is located in a lovely quiet village with easy parking, supermarket and a bar for breakfast close by. It was spotlessly clean and everything you could possibly need is provided. We'd love to come back and stay again.

Our second stay here at this fabulous Castillo and it won’t be our last (hopefully!). A truly magnificent and atmospheric castle, loaded with history, but also modern day comforts like great heating, hot water and wifi. We splashed out on the Presidential Suite this time and it was definitely worth it. Great views out of the windows, very good shower and a comfortable bed. We were driving from Bilbao to Tarifa and it made the perfect half way stop over. No suppers provided but a grand old kitchen you are welcome to use to cook up your own food. Plus help yourself to breakfast in the morning. Easy, safe parking for our large van. We loved it - 10/10 Thank you

This place has everything you could need, it’s such a beautiful spot, close to old town but far enough away you truly feel peaceful The resort has very well maintained grounds and is clean with staff that are friendly, also pet friendly. Wish we could have stayed longer it’s a amazing hotel

    The Hostal was ideally situated off the main road yet fare...

    The Hostal was ideally situated off the main road yet fare enough to be very peaceful and relaxing. I found the quality of sleep very good as the mattresses and pillows were of good quality. Parking is readily available right outside your block of apartments. There is a Petrol Station between the Hostal and the main road, which means refuelling before your onward journey perfect. Expect a transient atmosphere in that there are no facilities, just a single bar serving coffee, drinks and basic food. This place was a perfect overnight stay and I will definitely be returning when crossing Spain along Via de la Plata.
