Days with little to no day tourists are an absolute blast, as you virtually have the island to yourself and can hang out with the staff (e.g. at a bonfire). Would recommend to anyone and go back again!

New ZealandWe loved our stay at The Ravuka beach house! It gave us the space to spread out for the end of our trip and relax with a million dollar view. The beach at the end of the Rd is very pretty and quiet, and the Sigatoka Sand Dune National park is 10 minutes down the road and not to be missed. We really enjoyed the accommodation and the area and hope to be back someday!

United KingdomI came for a wedding at the Shangri La and travelled alone. Gecko resort is perfectly located a short walk to the hotel. They were incredibly welcoming of a female solo traveller and nothing was too much trouble from letting me my room early to letting me keep the room til late for my evening return flight. Clean comfortable rooms - best nights sleep. Evening entertainment and excellent food, drink and cocktails. A little gem if you are touring Fiji make sure you add it to your list.

FijiIt was a wonderful experience staying at the apartment. Very much accommodating, very clean, very convenient, and reliable customer service. It was really spacious, fully furnished and wow! All the rooms were with air con, Including the living room. We were able to cook our preference menu. All the necessary utensils and cutleries were provided. Highly recommended to even bigger families. It's just few minutes away from Sigatoka town and amazing thing is that, it's just near seaview beachside. My kids really enjoyed their stay at the above accommodation. I'd would rate it 10 out of 10. Fabulous stay.

A beautiful beach spoilt by floating litter and rubbish in the water. I have seen this often around the world and understand that it is a side effect of a bigger issue. The Intercontinental Hotel at Natadola Beach is easily the best hotel on the mainland of Fiji. The reason why is because most mainland hotels do not have sandy beaches and certainly few have coral that you can snorkel on and those hotels are dependent on pools and facilities to attract people to them over the hotels on outer islands. If you are going to Fiji for a short visit and don't have time to move about to experience it or you want to keep the costs down (the outer islands are expensive) then goto the Intercontinental. Keep away from Denarau(which sucks). the Intercontinental at Natadola beach gives you a lot. We tried all the hotels. Best dish was at Navo and it was the crab linguini. The beach is worth the trip but Yatule isn’t! $200 round trip from Nadi - plus overpriced accommodation - way better options available - choose wisely. Close to the golf course if you can’t afford the Intercontinental next door. Okay to eat here luckily - no other options! We absolutely enjoyed our stay there, the staff were so friendly and helpful and that alone made the experience so much more magical, they provided activities everyday along with cultural events and things even the kiddos could enjoy. We stayed in the beachfront bure and it was quite spacious for myself and three children, it was about a ten step space to the actual beach and also there were hammocks everywhere so you could just relax and read a good book if you didn’t want to sit at the beach. What a magical place I cannot wait to come back and create more memories. I enjoyed the snorkelling activity, kayaking, watching the staff play volleyball, the fire-dance was an experience in itself, the kids loved the crab racing because it was different and very simple but yet so much fun. the stay at Yatule Resort was very enjoyable and relaxing. A small resort with fijian bungalows. The sea is beautiful, the food is great, the staff are so friendly and kind, and the activities are the perfect level! The shows are also amazing - we were on the island for 3 stays and enjoyed the change in atmosphere and energy when the boats of visitors arrived.
