Very nice clean room with good facilities and v comfy clean bed. Close to town centre and I wouldn't hesitate in returning and breakfast was included!

This is the perfect place to escape the city, the noise, and the crowds. A peaceful retreat where you can truly reconnect with nature. We absolutely loved the views, the path leading up to the house, and the beautiful, scenic surroundings. The host was amazing! incredibly friendly, helped us with staff, gave us great recommendations for places to visit and eat, and even brought warm breakfast in the morning when we were sleeping. It was a fantastic stay!

The place is immaculate. It has Everything you need and want. It's stylish and built to a very good standard. The area is relaxing, peaceful and beautiful. The host, Isabel is friendly, generous and kind. She regularly gave us vegetables from her garden and told us about many nice places to visit in the area.

    Do not miss the beautiful medieval quai, walking past the quaint cottages that once upon a time would have been boat storage for the fishermen and logging barge operators. The tourist information office have well trained staff to assist your needs. Ask them what you should see while you are in the area? Also on offer is a guided walk around the historic area of the town with information plaques dotted around a circular walk. Get your free map from the tourist office. Boat trips are also available to book in the office and information on kayaking down the river. There is a beautiful newish nature reserve around a lake to explore before having coffee at one of the numerous cafes in the town. You will wish you had more time to stay to see all the delights of Argentat!

    Beautiful little town with a medieval heart.

    Beautiful little town with a medieval heart. Stunning river walk by the old quai with a bird sanctuary created from an old quarry site which can be accessed by car or the river walk. The Tourist Information Office is very helpful with a historical walk and map. Plenty of restaurants and cafes. Make sure you visit the quai and see the beautiful cottages that once housed the boats and fishermen for the river.

    I know it well and have been going back for years.

    I know it well and have been going back for years. Great hiking and walking, meandering down the Dordogne etc. Argentat is a lovely, relaxing little town with friendly people. This area of France is just wonderful!

    It is well situated in the town, for ease of access to all the attractions. Very good parking, with overflow spaces at the front of the hotel. The rooms are sizeable, with a large,comfortable bed. The bathroom was good, with an excellent shower. Although we did not use the pool, it looked very inviting. Again, we did not use the restaurant, it was sizeable with a good menu.

    beautiful location on the Dordogne kayaking Argentat to Beaulieu. wildlife opportunities wagtails, herons, swifts, house martins. North American Mink. Gorgeous wild flowers. History and architecture. Lascaux cave paintings 40 000 years old 1.5 hours away.

    Lovely hotel overlooking the square so everything was walking distance. Plenty of restaurants nearby and beautiful riverside walk along the medieval quai Stunning area. Well worth stopping off and staying a few days. We will definitely go back.

    Madam works very hard at running this love little hotel in the centre of town it has everything you need and restaurants and bars surround it. Reakfast was good. The room was a good size with a nice bathroom.
