Fabulous room in an old farmhouse - beautifully restored and tastefully decorated and furnished to create a magical blend of old and new. We were travelling through so could only stay the one night but we would have loved to stay longer - if we're ever back in this region we would definitely stay again. The hosts were lovely and the breakfast was great!

Fantastic, exquisite .... a mix between British country house and French elegance ! A true pearl. Words lack to describe the care and love devoted to this beautiful place. And did I mention the superb breakfast ? Well, it was just that ! Highly, very highly, recommended, this place. PS: do not judge the book by its cover, meaning, the outside facade of the building has absolutely no relation to what awaits one inside.

Steve and Karen met us upon arrival, handed us the keys and showed us around. The accommodation was superbly appointed, great facilities including very good wifi. We were only there one night but would happily return.

Loved our stay at Moon River, Janet and Steve were very warm and friendly hosts who immediately made us feel very welcome after our long drive. They've done the most amazing job at completely renovating an historic Napoleonic Inn into a very inviting, beautifully decorated and luxuriously appointed chambre d'hotes that's brimfull of character. The breakfast was great, the room was spotless and very comfortable and there was free and easy car parking 1 min walk away by the river. Would definitely stay here again and would thoroughly recommend to anyone visiting Bellac.

We spent one night, were running late and the hosts were...

We spent one night, were running late and the hosts were very accommodating. They just cater for our needs, being flexible with us arriving late at the property (due to heavy rain on the roads) and agreeing for us to have a late breakfast. It felt like being at home. We were not rushed which was very pleasant . The hosts are open minded and welcoming with a desire to make your stay the best stay ever. We had a family room which, was spacious and well organised. Tea/coffee facilities in the room. Nothing was missing. We highly recommend this location to solo, couples and families. We will be back for sure.

We were travelling from the South to the North of France and...

We were travelling from the South to the North of France and Berneuil was a good place to stop, roughly half way for us. The area looks like a place we would like to explore in the future - beautiful countryside..
