First, I have to thank the hotel staff for his patience, kindness and sympathy. I arrived later than I told him, but He was calling and waiting for me but I didn't realize. So....I only can say good words about his behaviour and say " I'm sorry". This is the most important thing, to say, because the hotel was clean , comfortable as well. Thank you. We loved our stay at hotel particulier. One night we got lost and the receptionist came to find us! My husband broke his razor and a replacement,with shaving cream was provided with a smile The swimming pool was a delight and cushions were provided for our comfort. Breakfast was first class and fresh orange juice supplied with a smile the room was quiet and bathrobe and slippers were provided in the bathroom. The hotel was close to all amenities. I want to recommend the Bambylor, a great fish restaurant only a few yards away in the same street All in all a lovely week in Béziers. Thanks to everyone at hotel particulier for making our stay so pleasant...

    Bezier is a surprise town for the first visitor.

    Bezier is a surprise town for the first visitor. Lots to see, rivers & bridges. Take the mini-train to the locks, get off and explore the river system, arrange to get a later train back. Lunch at La Victoire, excellent choice.

You can find a variety of options for tourists with absolutely different priorities for travel: great beaches, fantastic sightseeing options, fashion shops, delicious restaurants and atmospheric cafes, antic flea markets and French food bazaars.

    It's a lovely town, well situated to visit other cities in the area. I found Béziers a great base. There's a lot of construction work going on around the railway station so it's not simple to navigate if mobility is an issue.

    Beziers is a beautiful city but it is very hilly.

    Beziers is a beautiful city but it is very hilly. The historic city centre is at the top of the hill but the station is at the bottom so it's a steep climb with your luggage. The food market was voted the most beautiful in 2025 and is definitely worth a visit. There are several restaurants around the market and I can recommend La Johane. The food and the service were excellent. The cathedral is very imposing and, being at the top of the hill, gives a great view over the surrounding countryside. The restaurant Les Bons Amis is near the cathedral and I had a wonderful meal there.

    The theft from the safe in our hotel room completely spoilt...

    The theft from the safe in our hotel room completely spoilt our holiday. From the reviews we now realise we are the 4th victims of safe burglary this year at La Prison. The management did nothing. Beware!

    This was our third stay at this hotel. We have found it a perfect location for access to central Béziers (on foot) as well as for Grau and Cap d’Agde towns and beaches. It is a modern hotel with comfortable air conditioned rooms and secure parking. Breakfast choice is excellent and staff very courteous and helpful. The swimming pool is an added bonus. We highly recommend the hotel.

    An amazing experience staying in the old prison in the centre of Beziers. The whole hotel is beautifully renovated and fun to explore. We had a great room with stunning views. Breakfast and drinks from the bar were great. The pool was excellent and was our favourite place to be!

    Location was perfect. Walking distance to Centre Ville, restaurants, shops, boulangerie, train station, tourist office, park / botanic gardens etc. We got the bus from airport to Beziers and we’re able to walk to our apartment.
