    we went to Carnac because of the prehistoric history and the stone alignments. we were not disappointed. Carnac town has some very good places to eat. we ate some truely stunning food there. from our hotel we could walk everywhere, the countryside and landscape was beautiful.

    Carnac is a very pleasant beach resort with good restaurants...

    Carnac is a very pleasant beach resort with good restaurants and the wonderful pre-historic 3000 stones of Carnac. Surrounded by 6 or 7 white sand beaches and lots of coastal and country paths for walks. Vannes is only 40 mins away and definitely worth a trip to see.

    Carnac town was quaint and worth a short walk. Plenty of choices of restaurants. Very good value for money in the town itself. The plage area was very easy to walk around. Crepes at Crepes a La plage were delicious and I am not sure why previous reviews were so low.

    A fascinating region and Carnac is an excellent place to explore it from. The local alignment of historic stones is a must, but also exploring further afield to places like Auray and Quiberon is very rewarding.

    Carnac has a lovely little town centre with nice restaurants...

    Carnac has a lovely little town centre with nice restaurants, coffee shops etc. There's another area closer to the beach with more restaurants for the beach going holiday types, fish & chips / family restaurants etc. The standing stones of Carnac are well worth a visit. You could spend a few hours walking from one set to the next. The countryside is beautiful also so you wont be disappointed. The grand plage beach is very busy, it has a nice promenade and its close to all those restaurants i mentioned. There's a quieter beach to the west if that's what you're looking for.

    We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the vast selection of historical sites and the beaches around the area. We stayed outside of the centre of town near St Colomban beach but visited to shop for souvenirs and to have a meal. Parking was easy and plentiful.

    It's a pleasant apartment at the top of the building near to the centre of popular and busy Carnac. You're a short walk from everything and even going to the beach is not far we thought. If you enjoy walking, it is a good base for exploring the alignments and the many other circuits developed by the tourist office in the square. There is private parking at the back of the building accessed via a one-way street system opposite the Lidl store.

    Lovely hotel, stylishly decorated. Well located close to the beach (where we found free parking every day of our stay). Lovely pool which we enjoyed using each afternoon. We visited the bar a couple of evenings and enjoyed drinks there. The breakfast in the restaurant was good although some items had run out by the time we arrived. Staff were helpful and friendly.

    The dinner was amazing. One of the best dining experiences we've had in France. I tried the "chefs special" as main dish with lobster and sweetbread - absolutely fantastic! The staff were also very helpful and friendly and i could charge my electric rental car during the stay.

    A family house, lots of space for a couple. Really convenient if you want to visit the Carnac Stones or drive down to the Quiberon peninsular. Also not far from Vannes. Clean.

    The house itself, from the outside is adorable and the location is very nice. Not too far from the Carnac Place shops and grocery store. The beach is just a short walk away.
