Located on GR7, one of the main St Jean de Compostella routes between Fanjeaux and Mirepoix, this stay is a much-needed refuge in an isolated part of the camino. Also a lovely stopover for anyone on a cycling tour. The village of Hounoux stands on a sudden hill with commanding views over the surroundings. Unpretentious, comfortable accommodation and with kindly, welcoming hosts and a view over the Razes that could scarcely be beaten. A garage to store bikes. Hosts attentive and good company at breakfast. I wish them every success. Great value in terms of price and quality of stay.

    Excellent location, green and quiet, in case you are in the region of Mirepoix-Carcassonne-Toulouse. A heaven of peace with several walks starting straight from the location. The house is well equipped, spaceous and has excellent bedding.

    Beautiful house surrounded by fields and orchards. Dagmar was incredibly helpful and welcoming, made me a pot of tea on arrival and provided all sorts of helpful info about the area. My room had a lovely big window overlooking the countryside, and the excellent breakfast next morning set me up perfectly for a long day of house-hunting. Can't wait to go back when all the trees are flowering. Highly recommended!
