The auberge provides everything you need when travelling and the rooms etc have been recently constructed to a very good standard. Breakfast was not provided but croissants etc were obtained from a nearby patisserie to accompany coffee provided in the restaurant adjoining the auberge. Saint Angel was good for an evening stroll.

Francois and Morgane were super kind and friendly, they arranged for us to leave our bags after an early arrival which was much appreciated. The whole place was really clean and the beds were really comfortable, we slept really well.

The welcome was very warm, relaxed and friendly. The room and bathroom are huge!!! Very clean, comfortable and well equipped...and the modern very efficient air-conditioning was so welcome as it was very hot! It is in a very quiet residential area...very peaceful. Our hosts reccomended several local restaurants in nearby Ussel for our evening meal, we chose Café Ventadour in the old square, and had an excellent meal in a lovely relaxed atmosphere.

I couldn’t have imagined a better place to stay! It’s a wonderful tiny mansion hidden in the middle of nowhere where you can truly experience the French slow life, feel the nature and enjoy absolutely fabulous cuisine of Robert (one of the owners) prepared with fresh local produce.
