Mika (I think his name is) gave me a really warm welcome. He carried all my bags for me to my room and brought me a beer as soon as I was settled. He also allowed me to park my motorbike right next to the front door (next to his scooter) so I knew it would be safe. I felt like royalty! As a lone female traveller I felt safe and secure here as well as very welcome. The place is in perfect quiet position and easy to walk into the pretty medieval centre. The bar and restaurant is really clean and cosy as was my room. Big thank you to Mika for his excellent service with a smile.

The location was excellent. Restaurants and bars are so close. We did not realise a jazz festival was being held in the square below our room. We got to sit on the balcony with a glass of wine and listen to schmooze jazz in the evening, and, next morning walk through the local weekend market. What a great stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Les Rocailles. Monique and William were exceptionally welcoming, even giving us a ride before our friends' wedding and suggesting some local activities. Breakfast in the garden, with fresh local products, was a real treat. Each room is uniquely decorated with thoughtful vintage touches to reflect the style of a famous French figure (we were lucky to get Brigitte Bardot's suite). It's clear how much care and passion they've put into renovating this beautiful old building. Les Rocailles has a charm all its own—highly recommended!

Location was perfect, just a few minutes stroll into town and very quiet with a few boulangeries and bars within 200 metres…and a good pizzeria too! The apartment was clean and had everything for a comfortable and relaxing break. We didn’t meet the owner but a few messages passed between us that were really helpful. We travel frequently and definitely recommend!!

    Everything was top quality and the host was most welcoming and helpful. It was perfect for our dog as there was a large lawned area, which was completely enclosed. We would certainly recommend this accommodation to travellers in the Bergerac area.
