The welcome was friendly and helpful without being overwhelming. The reception is full of antique cameras, a hobby of one of the family. The room was clean and up to date, but with lovely old school touches (the built in wardrobe had antique doors). Fantastic views across the valley. The food in the restaurant was superb, and excellent value for money. Breakfast was great, top quality ham and cheeses and unlimited coffee on tap. Overall the place has a really nourishing vibe, a haven of loveliness.

Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The room was nice with the most comfortable bed ever, and lovely big soft towels. Couldn't fault anything. We were also able to pop into the casino and restaurant which was an unexpected treat. The staff were amazing, we had the best time, and very tasty pizza.

We loved staying here. The warm welcome that extended throughout our stay was wonderful. The room was large with a sofa and desk, the bed was large and comfortable, and the bathroom was very new. There was a fridge we could use and fans for the hot evening. Although it is quite close to the road, there is very little noise. We ate a picnic in the evening at one of the outside tables in the pleasant garden, and out host provided plates and glasses for us. The breakfast was very good. There's parking on site. The location is good for exploring this region and while the village doesn't have a restaurant, it sits in the middle of vineyards and there are places close by to try the wines.

    Atea around Montmorot has lots to see and do.

    Atea around Montmorot has lots to see and do. Hiking trails, variety of restaurants, although book ahead for the lovely Casino restaurant in Lons... Definitely need a car to travel around. Lots of windy roads. The Cascades is an incredibly beautiful walk.

    This was one of the best apartments of the very many we have stayed in. It is modern, well designed, furnished and equipped and Marianne is to be complimented for that. It is positioned in the centre of Montmorot and within easy reach of the delightful Jura region. Certainly we have no hesitation recommending this gîte.
