From the moment I arrived, the lovely Celeste & Patrick made me part of their family! Their charming Chambre d’Hote is clean and comfortable with everything that you need for a relaxing stay. The highlight, however, is their dinner and breakfast which is all beautifully home made and served in their kitchen which is a lovely way to get to know them and the other guests. Dinner is a delicious multi course affair with a home made cider aperitif for me, and Patrick keeping the wine glasses topped up. They are both lovely and natural hosts and we shared a lovely evening! In the morning, the breakfast table literally groans under the weight of the food and drink including Celeste’s amazing home made cakes and pastries - perfect for a hungry cyclist! I genuinely hope I can return soon as I’m missing them already!

Our hosts Jean & Thie were so attentive and caring, we felt as if we’d made some real friends.    The accommodation was spacious and comfortable, the breakfasts, largely produced from the garden, were so beautifully laid out, each morning was a real pleasure.    Situated on a large property on the outskirts of Mortain, we felt completely at ease and private.” Highly recommended.

This apartment is incredible. Simon and Mari are the best hosts, you can see they really care and went to great lengths to make the place as welcoming as possible. Nice decor, spotlessly clean, with a huge TV and super comfy couch. We had planned to eat out but it was so nice that we decided to stay in!

Bunnys, ducks, cows, chickens, Lustig, the huge dog. The kitchenware was phenomenal quality. Location - nature, walks, farm animals. The hosts are very nice and communicative, we managed to chat even without a common language. Complimentary apple juice and blackberry jam. Proper cotton bedding. No plastic sheets.

Very happy with our stay at la blanche roche our room was very clean and comfortable .woke up to a stunning view of the country side. The owners carol and Steve were very friendly helpful and accommodating. They're house and gardens were stunning and well kept. Would definitely book again. Thanks for our stay 10/10.

Very brief visit, so I'm not the best person for this.

Very brief visit, so I'm not the best person for this. However, really stunningly beautiful area in the hills. Go up the hill to La Petite Chappelle and you can stand on the observation deck and see for miles, including as far as Mont St Michel. If you are interested in WW2 history, there is a great little museum at Mortain; although only open for one year, the curator has been researching key local events with his father for 40 years. From the museum, they take visitors in old WW2 jeeps up the steep climb to the infamous Hill 314.
