    The abbey and its land was redolent of the most awesome history and creativity. It existed from 625 to 1790. Thus, from the Charlemagne era to the French Revolution. The first document in French was written by a monk there in the first half of the ninth century. Good restaurants in the small town.

    It is a great location for visiting this lovely area of France The hotel is in the square which has three restaurants and a 6th century Abbey to visit. The hotel has many amenities including a spa it is a must visit. We have never been to such a clean and welcoming hotel before.

    The town is very peaceful but it is great to walk through, with a couple bakeries, butchers, cafes, and restaurants well sign-posted. The Cafe de l'Abbaye is very friendly and has a great seating area overlooking the Abbey.

    Saint-Riquier is a lovely village with three good restaurants. There was lots going on during the weekend I was staying, including a cycle race! Restaurants are of great quality. Close proximity to Abbeville.

    The hotel is located in a beautiful cobbled square. With a local restaurant, cafe bar, boulangerie and patisserie in the square. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived. The hotel is full of charm and character. It’s very clean.
