    We were there on July 14th and enjoyed a concert and the most impressive fireworks we have ever seen. Soullac is a lovely town with a good vibe and interesting sites to see around it. Don't miss the Grottes de Lacave!

    Souillac is a handy stop on a long drive north or south...

    Souillac is a handy stop on a long drive north or south through France as it is very close to the A20. The town was very quiet when I was there (early March), but I imagine in summer months it will be much livlier, with many more of the cafés, bars and restaurants open for business

    Gorgeous historic town with winding paths through shops and restaurants We only spent the evening here but were lucky enough to find some live music and a great bar in the square just outside our hotel

    Really exceptional place - the hosts went over and above...

    Really exceptional place - the hosts went over and above what you would expect. The cycling related rooms, themes and inspired antique furniture made for an interesting and informative stay - we browsed the posters and pictures for hours. Food in the cafe was very good - with combination of locals and tourists all welcome to enjoy the social spaces. Hosts also helped with our touring around plans and information about other local sites and ammenities. Will be returning again! We ate out in the nearby town - about a 5 min walk from the house - really good quality in both restuarants and music both nights! The Abbey is also worth a visit.

    The location of the hotel is extremely handy to both the train and local bus system being only a 5 minute walk from the train station/ bus stop. There is a very good small restaurant along the way also. Fabien, our host was very acomadating and provided excellent advice for our tours in the area.The breakfast provided is excellent with a good selection of fresh bread, local cheese, meat, eggs, croissants, yogurt, granola, fruit, home baked cake, fruit, cereal, coffee, tea juice and more all served in a bright sunny art filled room.

    The hotel was in a quiet location but within a few minutes walk of the centre of town . Our room had a pleasant balcony overlooking the pool. The breakfast was plentiful and the coffee machine dispensed excellent cafe au lait. The doors onto the balcony were easy to operate. The bathroom, although small, was all we required and it was clean with plenty of towels. The shower was hot and water pressure good. It was useful having some parking spaces allocated to the hotel opposite.

    Celine & Romu are warm and welcoming hosts. The room was spotless and comfortable. Parking is very nearby and it is a five minute walk to the town centre or, in the opposite direction, to the banks of the dordogne river. Breakfasts, taken in the garden were splendid - fresh croissants, bread, jams, cheese, ham, fruit juices etc. You do not have to be a cyclist to enjoy staying at La Bicicleta Ravito!
