    Thiers didn't strike me as a normal place for tourists, it...

    Thiers didn't strike me as a normal place for tourists, it is a standard home town but we found the residents very kind and friendly, helping us along when our somewhat limited French language skills let us down! We were lucky to experience a local music festival with a mix of bands on, stalls selling food and artisan-made goods, etc. - a really enjoyable night out. We noticed several restaurants but due to the festival we ate at various street stalls and bars. Thiers may not be suitable for those with mobility issues as it is very hilly; the street we stayed on had stepped pavements. However, I managed to walk around the town ok, despite having some walking problems.

    Beautifully restored and full of character flat, with lots of attention to detail in the deco. The flat was very functional and had everything needed for a pleasant stay. Very well located near the old town of Thiers. The owner was very attentive and helpful. Will definetely recommend

    We had requested a twin bedded room, but were given a double. I don't know whether this was fault of booking. com or the hotel. We managed to get it changed. Restaurant was excellent. Good menu beautifully presented. Very peaceful.

    Stylish and comfortable. Well supplied with basic cutlery and crockery. Plenty of hot water. Loved the sound of water from the mill leat, otherwise very peaceful. Very interesting history of property and Thiers.
