Lovely French city close to the Luxembourg and German border. The old time is picturesque giving Spanish vibes. There are few farmers markets on the weekends that provide expansive range of local produce. Lots of cafes, bakeries and walks to take. Easy access to the waterfront for a lovely stroll or run. We were travelling through Europe by car and accidentally chose Thionville because it was perfectly located on our route and we had read several recommendations about the town. It may be that we missed out on things, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who doesn't really have a reason to go there. The town is very dirty and worn down.
