Breakfast was included in the price and was excellent! Dinner was an option with extra charge, but it was as good as breakfast. Dinner ia a highly recommended option for the stay in this b&b. Owner family members served the customers and they were very kind and nice. We didn't use the pool for one night stay. The pool is very nice and clean, and recommended for long term stay customers. A large lavender farm is in front of the house. Lavender was a little early for us to see full bloom on June 10th. Late June or early July will be best for watching and enjoying fragrance from flowers.

Peaceful unspoiled views of lavender fields right at your feet. No crowds!!!!. An amazing way to spend a night in the French country side with a million star view Baptiste is a great host and very accommodating, great little French breakfast delivered in the morning is a great touch.

This is a truly beautiful place. The hostess of the farm is attentive and very kind. The property is designed with attention to the smallest details – you can feel that the owners have both taste and a deep understanding of how a place for rest should be arranged. The surrounding nature is magnificent: you can enjoy not only the sunrise and sunset, but also the moonrise and a sky full of stars. The sounds of nature are wonderful. There is also a shop with the farm’s own products, which adds a very authentic touch. Without a car, it would be quite difficult to stay here, as you need to buy groceries and cook for yourself. For me, however, this was actually a plus, since we were tired of eating out in restaurants.

Very big space house with 3 floors (ground floor is kitchen & living room, 1 double bed in first floor, 1 double bed with 1 single bed at 2nd floor). Air-conditioning is at 2nd floor. We like the bathroom the most as the shower & toilet are separate with 2 basins. Host is friendly and responsive. A bit confused with the check in process but managed to overcome.

We received a lovely warm welcome on arrival from Julie and her beautiful family. We absolutely loved the apartment in the heart of their very rustic and charming garden with the beautiful sounds of the water flowing, ducks quacking and stunning trees, the weeping willow…amazing! The location for us, was ideal as hobby photographers. We were 6 minutes drive from the lavender fields and another 20 the far side to more amazing views and lavender fields, great location for the early sunrise photos. Julie was so helpful to us with getting transport and recommending places to go. The apartment was a 5 minute walk into the village which is small with a few shops/restaurants but with a vehicle, you can venture further afield. We enjoyed the village of Valensole, strolling the different streets, hilly but lovely, again rustic and a certain charm to it. The apartment was quaint, very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The air con was great, good bathroom water pressure etc plenty of dishes in kitchenette for self catering, a good cold fridge. I loved the subtle scent of lavender on my pillow when settling in at night. No wifi which was great, we had mobile data on our phones and it was lovely to switch off from the phones more while on holiday. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony in the mornings and evenings (candles provided) very relaxing and peaceful. Overall, a really lovely place for us and we thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t thank Julie enough for all her help and friendly welcome throughout our stay ❤️

    While touring lavender in the south of France Valensole is a must visit ancient town. The food was great, coffee excellent and lavender fields plenty. Book your evening dining experience early and enjoy.

    Very small town, right in the middle of the lavender field...

    Very small town, right in the middle of the lavender field area. Not much to do in it, almost no attractions, very few restaurants. But it is definitely conveniently located for lavender fields and for visiting other nearby towns. So we spend one day visiting the lavender fields and the others doing something else, but we had to pass by the fields every time. I felt that was really nice. We felt that 4 nights there was more than enough.

    Sadly we arrived when the lavender fields were already cut (only few were still nice lavender colour). In the village one restaurant was opened until 23:00 and they served us even though we arrived after 22:15. The others were already closed.

    A charming little village of Provence, the best time to...

    A charming little village of Provence, the best time to enjoy the place and its surroundings would be June-Mid July, when the lavender grows and before it gets harvested. The area is really beautiful, but lavender being the main attraction, for those who come off season I wouldn’t recommend staying more than a day or two; as there’s much more authentic villages to discover all around. Having the chance to be living not so far from Valensole, my husband and I never cease to be amazed by this magical place.

    Valensole is a small village on the edge of the plateau.

    Valensole is a small village on the edge of the plateau. You can see this in 2-3 hours, but it's a good starting point for a regional discovery. Great location for hikes, bike rides, (easy) mountain bike rides and lakes in the neighbourhood. Close enough to thee Verdon (30km) to visit, unless you are a rock climber and will want to be closer to this. The village has some smaller supermarkets and local cafe, butcher (strongly recommended!) and baker.

    Very nice property with very pleasant hosts. Room is on the edge of town but easily walkable and there is a supermarket very nearby. We were grateful that we could check in early - as we had to arrive late morning, thinking to leave luggage - this was bonus and really helped us utilize our first day. We were able to make some nice walks in some quite pretty countryside. Although we were late for the majority of lavender fields, as the heat had forced an early harvest, the festival in Valensole was a highlight. Thanks very much.

    This was an absolute highlight of our extensive tour of France! A classical French château with exquisite antique furnishings, a truly amazing location in Valensole - especially if the lavender are in bloom but at any time really! The proprietors are the most beautiful people who are genuinely there to make your stay memorable. The breakfast was an incredible array of homemade French classics!
