A very warm welcome along with the lovely, spotless, bright and spacious room and en suite and the beautiful garden made Les Bruyeres a great place to stay and we would happily recommend it. Christine is a great host. She makes you feel comfortable as soon as you arrive. We loved our stay. It was comfortable, spotlessly clean and easy to find. The private terrace and garden surrounded by lavender was a nice place to sit out in. Plus there was her wonderful pool area. She kindly gave us a bowl of homegrown tomatoes and figs straight off her tree. I had a great massage in her beautiful, relaxing room. It left me feeling so relaxed. We only stayed two nights but wished we had stayed longer. Christine speaks perfect English which made communication very easy. We would absolutely recommend Le Gîte de Lou.

Host Grégoire-so nice and friendly. Lovely family with lots of animals, cat, chickens and rabbit!! He was so accommodating to us. When we arrived he was out and so we went to the pub for 1 drink. He knew we were travelling on small motorbikes and he also got a few calls from the neighbours as they were a bit unusual. Before we got back to check in, he had moved items around in his locked garage and allowed us to park the motorbikes in there. House-beautiful old house that has been renovated in the village. Only a small walk to the main st, with shops, pubs, lovely Italian restaurant and multiple other restaurants and of course the beautiful castle. Room-our room had a view of the castle and the garden, very nice indeed. Big bedroom with a kitchen area off that and then a big shower room after. Kitchen area had everything you would need if you wanted to stay a few days and eat in the room. Breakfast-more than enough food, we struggled to finish. Beautiful bread, croissant, etc. but the jams were delicious and all home made (his mom, neighbour and his own) and also homemade apple juice!!

Marie is the most wonderful and friendly host. She was able to help with local restaurants, cafes and places to visit. We stayed in a very large, bright warm and comfortable room. The house, gardens and views are amazing-even in the winter rain! Breakfasts were feast of homegrown and homemade delights, including blackcurrant, peach conserve, as well as fresh baked banana muffins and madeleines and scrambled tofu on toast, just a few of the many treats we had. The three course dinner’s we booked in advance were delicious, Marie is an excellent cook, from her mushroom soup to chocolate mouse and my favourite dal and rice, the evening’s with Marie were delightful. She wast the best host. I would highly recommend a stay with Marie and we will definitely stay with her and her wonderful cat, Sangpo again soon.
