The room was clean, warm and well equiped. The bathroom was lovely and the shower was super! The carvery dinner was recommended by the receptionist and we thoroughly enjoyed it as well as the breakfast - all fantastic!

really comfortable and well situated, and thoughtfully provisioned with different teas and coffee. Great shower!. it was about 20 min walk to Mackeys hotel for dinner, but a nice walk if the weather is nice!

This spacious property had everything we needed. All was very clean and comfortable. Set in a courtyard it was super quiet. Just a short walk to the main street and good dining options. Parking was easy out the front on the street.

Clean, peaceful, lovely room with fab views of the sea. Good shower. Comfy bed. Grab and go brekkie was ace and more than we expected and was a welcome treat which we used on the nearby beach. Our host was fab and able to answer any queries. The local was v good food and beer wise and staff were friendly All in all 10 / 10 and would recommend to anyone doing the NC500 or just visiting this beautiful area

    Ackergill is a beautiful countryside, coastal area just one mile north of Wick. It is a very quiet area with lots of farmland and a few residential dwellings with a serene coastal landscape. Coastal walks to both Ackergill Tower and Sinclair Castle are accessible through Ackergill with stunning views sweeping along the Caithness cliffs.
