Plenty of places to eat and drink. Interesting shops , especially the large bookshop at the old station. We played golf at Alnwick Castle Golf Club and were made very welcome, lovely course and new clubhouse with fantastic views. Really liked Alnwick, pretty little town with lots of independent shops to explore and a good range of choices for eating out. It is cobbled in places and a bit hilly, if you have mobility issues. We had a good meal in the Market Inn; we were lucky to get in as there was a constant stream of people looking for a table while we were there. It is obviously very popular. Also had an excellent chippy tea in Carlos Fish & Chip restaurant. Explored Alnwick Castle, which we loved and also the Alnwick Garden, a little oasis. People are very friendly.
People are very friendly. There are lots of things to see and do.Lots of shops cafes and restaurants to suit everyone's taste buds .we'll worth visiting the Castle which has alot of history and well preserved .inside and out. Everything we done there was lovely.
Everything we done there was lovely. The castle, The shops and Wednesday market, The Zoo, that is only a short drive away, The museum, The Gardens, We did go across to Sea Houses, done a boat trip and had fish and chips there, Do not forget to have a coffee in the Chocolate shop.
