Amberley is a beautiful hotel in lovely grounds in a very pretty village. The service is fantastic and the rooms are lovely. The food is perfection, so although it’s very expensive, it is a real treat. I only have one word of advice. If you value your privacy in the lavatory, do not book Winchelsea room as there is no door between the bedroom and the bathroom. I had a room on the ground level with a private courtyard - easy access, private and extremely comfortable. I was greeted with a complimentary drink and wonderful service from the staff, who were welcoming and friendly. Dinner was lovely and the service was excellent.
