Arundel is beautiful with plenty of cafes, tea rooms, pubs, and restaurants. The art trail happened to be on whilst we were there, and although not our thing, it appeared to be very good. There was an open-air tribute act to ABBA too at night which appeared to be very well organised with a really fantastic atmosphere. Arundel castle is probably the best property I have visited, perhaps along with Osborne House on the Isle of Wight. Although the ticket entrance is pricey it was well worth it. A lot of history, beautiful rooms and private chapel. Walled garden is well kept. The cathedral is also worth a visit, very Impressive to look at. Lovely, pretty, small town with cosy pubs and surrounded by beautiful, walkable countryside. What made our stay memorable, were the amazing, friendly and very helpful staff. We were greeted by the patron and had no problem getting our key even thought it was early afternoon. This isn't a 5* hotel but the facilities were absolutely fine for us.
